Anna Beck is a Research Coordinator in the National SafeCare Training and Research Center (NSTRC), which is housed in the Center for Healthy Development in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University. Anna works with the faculty on multiple research projects, however her research focuses primarily on child maltreatment prevention through the evaluation of Georgia drug court programs.
Prior to joining the staff, she served as the Executive Director of Georgia’s WIN List, a political action committee devoted to the protection of reproductive rights in Georgia. She has more than a decade of political and non-profit fundraising experience, working with organizations such as the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Auditory Verbal Center. Additionally, she had worked on and managed multiple statewide campaigns, as well as worked in policy development in the Georgia Legislature.
She was born and raised in Atlanta and lives in Decatur with her husband, 3 year-old twins and two hound dogs.
