Lacell Joseph is a Trainer in the National SafeCare Training and Research Center (NSTRC), which is housed in the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development in the School of Public Health at the Georgia State University, where she conducts trainings and provides on-going consultation and support to sites implementing SafeCare, and contributes to the revision of SafeCare curriculum and training protocols.

Lacell is a licensed therapist in the state of Georgia who has years of experience working with community- based programs and clients. She began her community focused work as a Pregnancy Counselor and General Therapist at Catholic Charities Atlanta. During that time, she gained immeasurable experience with case management, diverse populations, and client assessment. She then took on the role of Program Manager for an immigrant/refugee youth mentoring program in the Atlanta area. This position included volunteer management, program development, and workshop and training facilitation. Through these myriad of duties and responsibilities, Lacell has recognized the value of a strong community and the need to empower all clients to live the best life possible.
